Wonderful pics and wonderful meanings!
How many parents have realized this …..!
thanks, sindhu, for the comment.
young children give unconditional love to their parents. in spite of parental punishment and rude behaviour, children are ready to forget, forgive and patch up so soon. but parents’ love to their kids is always conditional – if u do this i will get u that – kind of love. and if children fail their expectations, how parents are ready to disown them! but a kid always loves and craves for its parents’ love. we parents need to understand this.
Lovely page Latha! Just saw it today. but i dont agree with your previous comment where you said that parents’ love is unconditional.
i think it’s the other way around. my parents always love me, no matter what. and it’s not attached to anything material.
ruhi, i think you are trying to say that parents’ love is unconditional (i have mentioned that many parents’ love is conditional). you must be one of the few lucky ones whose parents have given unconditional love to you. yes, i do agree that parents love their children a lot and are ready to do anything for them. but parents have lot of expectations from kids these days and if kids fail their expectations, specially in these days of high competition, parents find it hard to give that kind of unconditional love.
in earlier days, parents used to have number of children and even if one or two of them did not achieve much, the others would compensate for that and parents used to not mind much about some of them not standing up to their expectations. but these days, when the number of kids is just one or two, they want the kids to excel in all the fields of activities. they ‘invest’ everything upon one child and they expect ‘returns’ from their child/ren! this puts lot of pressure upon the kids, starting from LKG, and the kids end up with depression in class 2 or 3!
