It may take about 2 months to recover back all his abilities that were temporarily disturbed by the mild stroke. Thanks for the prayers.

I just read this post and hope your brother will recover soon or has recovered. A stroke is serious whatever its grade is as the brain is involved.
For us who live in the West, visiting India however short the duration is presents health-related problems. When I used to visit India in the 1970, 80s and 90s, on every trip I
used to be a victim of one illness or the other, para -typhoid, malaria, intestinal infection (very often) even though I never took food outside my home while I was there and drank boiled water. After I passed one such illness on my return to my wife who stayed back, I stopped going to India.
In the final analysis, India will be looked on by the world not for its IT outsourced companies, automobile plants, HD TV, rocket-launching etc.. etc.. but the way it handles provision of clean drinking water, environmental hygiene and adulterated food which at present highly unsatisfactory.
It is no use throwing millions of dollars to run twenty twenty cricket games and boasting that the country had made it. As long as the above problems which set apart the third world from the first world exist and continue, India will ever remain a third world and a country whoose visits needing ten types of vaccinations!
Hi Latha,
Sorry to hear this.. Hope he is much better.
